We want to take this moment to thank you for your support and inform you of some exciting developments at the Marginalia Review of Books. January 29th marks our four-year anniversary—a significant achievement for any journal—and we are especially pleased to announce that Samuel Loncar, a former contributing editor, will assume the role of Editor-in-Chief and carry Marginalia into the future. Samuel is a philosopher and scholar of religion who brings an exciting vision to Marginalia, and under his leadership and direction the journal will continue to embody the value and necessity of the humanities in a digital age, with a special focus on the study of religion and history, while growing the conversation with the arts, the social sciences, and the culture at large.
We owe much to the original editorial team for recognizing the urgent need for an accessible dialogue between the academic and public worlds, and we would like to offer special thanks to Charles Halton and Angela Erisman for their dedication.
Please join us in February as we continue Marginalia’s mission to be a vibrant and vital intellectual commons.
