Peter Martens is Associate Professor and interim Chair of the Department of Theological Studies at Saint Louis University. He specializes in the exegetical cultures of Christian late antiquity. He is the author of Origen and Scripture: the Contours of the Exegetical Life (Oxford, 2012; paperback: 2014), Adrian’s Introduction to the Divine Scriptures: An Antiochene Handbook on Biblical Interpretation (forthcoming, Oxford) and a number of articles in leading journals, including the Journal of Religion, Modern Theology, the Journal of Early Christian Studies and Zeitschrift für Antikes Christentum.
