Nicole Brisch is an Associate Professor of Assyriology at the University of Copenhagen. Her research interests include Sumerian literature, Mesopotamian, and economic history. She has published a monograph on Tradition and the Poetics of Innovation: Sumerian Court Literature of the Larsa Dynasty (c. 2003-1763 BCE), edited a conference volume on Religion and Power: Divine Kingship in the Ancient World and Beyond (2nd. printing 2012), and co-edited a conference volume on Constituent, Confederate, and Conquered Space: The Emergence of the Mittani State (2013).
