Caroline T. Schroeder is Associate Professor of Religious Studies at the University of the Pacific, where she has taught since 2007. Schroeder is a cultural historian of religion specializing in early Christianity. The author of Monastic Bodies: Discipline and Salvation in Shenoute of Atripe, Schroeder is currently writing a monograph on children and family in early monasticism and co-editing a volume on the influential early Christian patrons Melania the Elder and Melania the Younger. She is also co-founder and co-director of the digital humanities project Coptic SCRIPTORIUM.
